Cabin interiors and premium passenger seating company STELIA Aerospace will demonstrate its accelerated innovation strategy and commitment to a sustainable aerospace industry at Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) 2026 in Hamburg from 14 to 16 April.
The company’s OPERA® ESSENTIAL is showcased in a brand-new configuration featuring a refined Trim and Finish. The seat is based on the “Fast Kinetic” principle – an entirely autonomous, fully self-reliant lie-flat seat, and the company says this configuration has now reached full industrial maturity after successfully passing its first dynamic tests.
Thierry Kanengieser, VP Cabin Interior at STELIA Aerospace, said: “The future of the cabin isn’t just about luxury; it’s about ‘smart’ luxury. With OPERA® ESSENTIAL and, more broadly, our comprehensive strategic approach tailored to our customers’ key stakes, we are redefining what it means to be a premium seating partner. We are no longer just delivering seats; we are providing high-tech, low-impact solutions that secure the long-term growth and sustainability of the world’s leading airlines.”
The company says OPERA ESSENTIAL offers a 30% weight reduction compared to the OPERA Single-Aisle but also provides a premium experience and a refined living space with extensive customisation options, as well as reduced maintenance costs compared to traditional Business Class seats.
