SWISS International Air Lines (SWISS) has revealed the First and Business Class seats for its SWISS Senses cabin concept, which will be entered into service this October on European routes on the airline’s new A350-900s, followed by intercontinental routes from the winter.

The SWISS Senses cabin is a new concept that will eventually be rolled out to the airline’s existing A330-300 and 777-300ER fleets. It features a warm-toned interior design with claret, anthracite, and beige, and includes human-centric lighting to help with jetlag. Each class has large IFE screens with the ability to connect personal devices, and SWISS First and some parts of SWISS Business have the airline’s first suite seating.

The SWISS First Suites have a sliding door, personal wardrobe, seat table, seat heating and cooling, a wireless charging station, and a large screen display, with the design using warm colours and wood accents. The centre aisle suites can be configured to fit two passengers, and the cabin itself has a new bathroom with a slate black exterior and green interior.

SWISS Business features classic Business Class seats, however, some can be closed off with a sliding door for privacy. All the seating options are convertible into a lie-flat bed and have the heating, cooling, and wireless charging features of SWISS First.

“I am delighted that, with the arrival of our new Airbus A350s, we will be able to offer our customers an even more personal, exclusive and individual air travel experience,” said SWISS Chief Commercial Officer Heike Birlenbach. “As a premium airline, we aim to continue to deliver on our quality promise through our SWISS Senses concept. Our new seats are the centrepiece of our new aircraft cabins. But SWISS Senses appeals to all the senses – with its special lighting concept, for instance, and also with our new scent that has been specially created for SWISS. All in all, SWISS Senses represents the biggest product investment in the history of our company – and a further major milestone for Swiss aviation.”
