Titan Airways, the London Stansted-based charter and lease carrier has introduced Acro’s Series 7 seat on its Airbus A321 aircraft.
Titan has installed 44 Acro Series 7 Regional Business Class seats in the front cabins of two Airbus A321 aircraft and configured these seats in a four-abreast layout and at a 44-inch seat pitch.
The Series 7 seats are complete with premium features including in-seat USB power, movable headrests, and leg and foot rests.
The Economy Class cabin features Acro Series 3 seats in a six-abreast configuration and at a 29-inch seat pitch. These seats are ergonomically designed to give a “comfortable” leg pitch even at 29-inches.
Titan Airways has been investing in new seating products throughout their Airbus fleet over the last few months, and Acro has now supplied seats for all of the airline’s Airbus A320 and A321 fleets.
Acro said of the announcement: “The introduction of the Series 3 Economy Seat and Series 7 Regional Business Class seat is a great step forward for Titan, meaning they can offer a modern aircraft with a modern interior, which significantly enhances the passenger experience and this is a unique offering in the charter market.”
Acro signs up Norra
Acro also recently celebrated a deal with Finnish airline Norra. The airline selected Acro’s Series 3 ST+ seat as part of a fleet-wide cabin refresh on the ATR aircraft it operates for Finnair in regional traffic. This will also be a first delivery for the Series 3 ST+ on an ATR aircraft.
Acro has been working to deliver the project in an efficient lead time of eight months, and Alan McInnes, SVP Sales commented: “We are delighted to welcome Norra and Finnair as a new customers. We have collaborated with the team to develop a customised version of Series 3ST+ that includes an enhanced leather literature pocket, coat hook, luxurious leather seat covers and bespoke cushions. The space-saving advantages associated with Acro’s unique curved seatback design will provide passengers with superior levels of comfort, especially at the 31-inch pitch selected for this.”
The Series 3 ST+ seat offers a relaxed recline angle of 24 degrees and an enhanced table size. It is also HIC certified and has a reduced part count, aiming to offer “unrivalled” reliability and ownership costs.
