Unum Aircraft Seating appoints Tania Trucchia as COO

Business class seating manufacturer Unum Aircraft Seating has appointed Tania Trucchia as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

Trucchia, who has has more than 15 years’ aviation experience and joins Unum from the commercial aviation services provider AAR, commented on the appointment: “I’ve followed Unum’s journey closely, so I can be confident I’m joining a company that designs and builds for comfort, reliability and maintainability – qualities that resonate with me both as an engineer and a frequent traveller.

“Unum has an incredibly talented and experienced team, and my role is all the more rewarding because I get to collaborate with these colleagues on decisions that bring incredible concepts to the market.

“I’m proud to work with a business that is serious about its impact on the environment – I love how sustainability is focal in everyday decision making at Unum and plays a role in its selection of vendors, materials and manufacturing strategy.”

Trucchia will be responsible for shaping and driving Unum’s operational strategy. This supports the company’s pursuit of rapid growth which includes deploying Unum’s initial factory blueprint following the closure of a recent investment round in which Origin Capital and the Low Carbon Innovation Fund 2 became Unum’s latest financial partners.

She will play a vital role charting a new path following our recent investment and ensuring we continue to disrupt the aircraft seating status quo.”
