In preparation of its first international mid and long-distance flights in mid-May, low cost airline ZIPAIR Tokyo has unveiled the cabin interior of its Boeing 787-8 aircraft.

The interior of the cabin features a contrast of dark tones and the corporate colour of harmony grey. According to the airline, these colours were selected in the design to provide a sense of serenity, allowing passengers to relax on long-haul flights.

Instead of offering seat back screens, the carrier will offer a fee-based option for passengers to browse the internet and stream movies on personal electronic devices.

Two classes of service are available on the aircraft with 290 available seats.

Business class features 18 ZIP Full-Flat Seat, manufactured by JAMCO. The cover of each 180-degree reclining seat is made with genuine leather and equipped with reading lights and charging equipment.

The 272 Recaro economy class standard seats use artificial leather on each seat, with a seat pitch and width measuring 79 centimeters and 43 centimeters, respectively. In addition, reclined the backrest and seat move simultaneously providing more space for passengers sitting behind each seat.
