Air New Zealand has launched a new selection of seasonal drinks for its international network. The new drinks will be served in Business Premier cabins on Air New Zealand’s New York and Chicago routes from late August until October.

Air New Zealand developed the seasonal cocktails in collaboration with New Zealand drinks creator East Imperial, together creating two gin-based cocktails with additional alcohol-free options.

“Our customers have been raising a toast to our exceptional wine selection, but they’ve also shared their craving for a delightful cocktail now and then,” said Leanne Geraghty, Chief Customer and Sales Officer, Air New Zealand. “So, we’ve shaken things up and partnered with East Imperial mixologists to craft us some drinks exclusively for our Business Premier customers.

The names of the signature cocktails are yet to be announced. However, the tasting notes of the drinks reveal have been shared by the airline.

The first drink has floral and oily notes, with sherbet citrus and red grapefruit flavours, dry and herbaceous accents with additional grapefruit oil and juniper. The second drink is also zesty with sherbet notes, while also containing juniper and vegetal botanical notes in the mid palate, as well as flavours of sweet berries and white pepper.

“We couldn’t be prouder to collaborate with East Imperial,” added Geraghty. “Their top-notch products are made right here in New Zealand, with the finest, sustainably sourced, all-natural ingredients.”
