Aviation asset management company AJW Capital, which is part of the AJW Group, has appointed Erlendur Svavarsson as its CEO.
Svavarsson, who has served as CEO and a Board of Directors member within the airline and aviation industry and previously held positions at Cabo Verde Airlines, Loftleidir Icelandic, Arctica Finance and Faradair Aerospace, will spearhead the AJW Capital’s strategic initiatives as it continues to thrive within the aviation industry.
AJW Capital says it actively engages in creating and managing joint venture vehicles, acquiring packages of aircraft and engine spare parts for utilisation, and employing sophisticated strategies such as sale, teardown, or lease to maximise asset value.
Christopher Whiteside, Chairman of AJW Group, expressed his confidence in Svavarsson’s ability to lead the company into its next phase of growth: “We are thrilled to welcome Erlendur as the new CEO of AJW Capital. With his extensive leadership experience in the aviation industry, we are confident that he will steer AJW Capital towards new heights of success, ensuring our continued commitment to excellence in aviation asset management.”
