Anuvu

Anuvu will showcase its connectivity and content collaborations with leading airlines at this year’s Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg, Germany.

This year’s event will see the high-speed connectivity and entertainment solutions provider celebrate its relationships with clients including Southwest Airlines, Emirates, United Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and SAUDIA.

In collaboration with its airline partners, Anuvu is incorporating seatback screen content with passengers’ mobile devices, using data-driven methods to increase return on investment (ROI).

“Our future-proof technologies ensure airlines can offer effortless connectivity and personalised entertainment options, as well as receive valuable insights into passenger preferences,” said Mike Pigott, Executive Vice President, Anuvu. “Airlines can rely on Anuvu’s expertise and proven track record to integrate world-class content and connectivity as they enhance their overall passenger experience offerings.”

Part of Anuvu’s current ventures also includes helping airlines navigate the transition from geostationary (GEO)-based satellites to new low-earth orbit (LEO) platforms with its hybrid “Bridge-to-LEO” strategy. The strategy aims to minimise costs by ensuring hardware investment is compatible with incoming LEO systems, with minor equipment changes.

The company is also launching two initial MicroGEO satellites in the Anuvu Constellation in 2023. The Anuvu constellation will complement the company’s leased and owned GEO capacity worldwide. As smaller satellites, from Astranis Space Technologies, these will be more financially efficient and provide more flexibility, providing capacity for aviation and maritime customers in North America and the Caribbean.

“Customers look to us to provide them with the latest technology to optimise their fleet while gaining access to targeted and affordable capacity,” added Pigott. “Anuvu’s unique Bridge-to-LEO strategy and open architecture network can easily transition customers to make simple equipment changes as new technology comes available.”
