W. L. Gore & Associates has showcased its NextGen, high-performance connectivity solutions.

Gore Aerospace Cables and Assemblies are engineered specifically to withstand broad temperature ranges, exposure to abrasion and wear, repeated mechanical stress, high voltages, and hazardous contaminants.

“We are excited to share how Gore products can impact nextGen in-flight connectivity,” said Jenn Haupt, Aerospace & Defense marketing communications lead USA. “Cables play a critical role in these systems and they need to not just survive the conditions but impact end results such as passenger and air crew experience, as well.”

Featured during APEX Expo are Gore Aerospace Fiber Optic Cables, 1.8 mm Simplex – proven to perform at the highest levels in most challenging civil aviation environments. These cables reliably transfer critical data on high-speed avionics networks up to 100 Gbps and beyond, while providing significant weight and cost savings over traditional copper cable and ruggedised fiber optic cables.

Gore also highlighted their Gore Microwave/RF Assemblies, 7 Series, which are engineered to prevent the ingress of water vapour, fuels, oils, chemicals and other contaminants commonly found in airborne environments. With their rugged, vapour-sealed construction, these assemblies routinely maintain low insertion loss, low return loss, and excellent phase stability at frequencies up to 18 gigahertz (GHz), while providing outstanding shielding effectiveness in challenging aerospace environments.

Also featured are Gore Aerospace High Speed Data Cables, which support the latest open-source architectures and standardized protocols such as HDMI, USB, Ethernet, and more, as well as Gore Leaky Feeder Antennas which deliver constant connectivity to a variety of wireless networks.
