Burrana is to retrofit the A320 and A321 fleets of a top-tier Latin American airline with its In-seat Power solution, as part of the airline’s US$400 million investment program to update the fleet’s cabin interiors to provide an even better passenger experience.

Under the contract, Burrana will supply more than one hundred aircraft with 2.1A USB and 110V AC In-seat Power in premium economy and USB power in economy class. Five of the fleet’s A320 aircraft are already flying with Burrana’s In-seat Power.

Burrana CEO, David Withers commented: “This is another significant milestone for Burrana as we continue to deliver brand-enhancing cabin technology solutions to airlines. Once fully installed, more than 25,000 passengers on this Latin American airline will be powering their devices with our In-seat Power at any one time.”

“The solution is a simple installation architecture with minimal components, consisting of a small, lightweight, seat spar kit – housing either double USB jacks or 110V and USB outlets, compact seat power boxes, and harnesses. We will also provide product support and manage spares within South America.”

“Our innovative design and installation approach requires only minimal aircraft downtime and offers a streamlined certification solution with a supplemental type certificate, without any additional dynamic seat testing.”
