Condor selects RECARO Aircraft Seating for new Airbus fleet Economy Class seating

German leisure carrier Condor has selected RECARO Aircraft Seating to supply the carrier’s new Airbus Economy Class cabins with RECARO’s BL3710 and lightweight SL3710 seats.

The carrier has ordered nearly 9,000 seats  which will be installed on board 28 Airbus A321 and 13 A320 aircraft, to be delivered between 2024 and 2028.

The BL3710 seat features comfort amenities such as individual USB power, enhanced ergonomic seat bottom, adaptable tray table, elongated armrests and a bring-your-own-device holder to tailor the entertainment experience in the cabin.

RECARO says the lightweight SL3710 model offers advanced ergonomics suitable for all body types, along with USB power access as well as an integrated cup holder, all fitted on an eight-kilogram frame.

“This collaboration with Condor underscores our commitment to providing passengers with comfort and functionality, and also reaffirms our role in pushing the boundaries of sustainable design,” said Dr. Mark Hiller, CEO of RECARO Aircraft Seating and RECARO Holding.

“As Condor expands their Airbus fleet, we look forward to enhancing the in-flight experience.”

“By choosing RECARO seats, we are striving to maximise comfort for our guests on short and medium-haul flights,” said Christian Schmitt, Chief Operations Officer and Accountable Manager Condor.

“With the new long-term partnership, we rely on the many years of experience, the latest innovations and a great service in this area at RECARO to strengthen the Condor product and onboard experience.”
