FACC

Aerospace technology and advanced aircraft lightweight systems company FACC reported that in 2022, it was able to increase the company turnover by 22% to €607 million.

The company says the strong growth was due to an increase in production rates in the short- and medium-haul segment as well as the business jet sector. FACC also noted a significant increase in development services for international customers was a factor contributing to this growth.

Due to the high market demand for new aircraft and increased order levels, FACC also employed 381 new people. The staff at its Plant 6 in Croatia, which was commissioned in December 2021, was expanded to 200 employees. This factory manufactures lightweight components for cabin interiors for passenger aircraft and business jets. The company also says its next expansion stage is already being planned.

Due to numerous development projects, FACC says it set the course for the future by taking some significant steps in 2022. It developed new composite lightweight solutions for the global aerospace industry and invested €43.5 million in new research and development projects. The major focus of these projects has been on the development of new high-tech materials which allow significantly reduced process times while being recyclable and which are also able to withstand extreme stress.
