Finnair has partnered with Finnish music producer Perttu to create an immersive, soothing soundscape designed to take customers on a relaxing journey through Nordic skies.
The new Spoti-fly soundtrack is inspired by the airline’s relaxing boarding music and aims to capture the essence of Nordic culture, focusing on a minimalistic sound which creates an atmosphere of space, calm and relaxation.
The atmospheric soundtrack aims to make customers feel welcome and inspired whether they are in the air or on the ground.
Finnair says music is an essential part of its experience, and the airline’s creative team developed “Journey” to be a meditative experience for the listener throughout the 45-minute soundscape.
Perttu started out in Finnish heavy-metal bands when he was 14, touring Europe to play at major festivals. He moved to Berlin at 24 to learn how to produce electronic music, working with dance and indie-pop artists who took him deeper into the world of sound. He’s now expanding into composing music for film soundtracks too.
