Mirus Aircraft Seating Makes Two New Executive Appointments

Mirus Aircraft Seating has appointed two highly experienced aerospace and aviation professionals to join the company’s executive team.

James Wright joined Mirus as Operations Director in April to oversee all of the company’s operational activities from its headquarters in Hingham, Norfolk. He has over ten years’ experience in highly engineered high mix low volume commercial and defence aerospace manufacturing businesses across the UK, Europe, South Asia and America.

Wright says: “I’m truly proud to join Mirus, a business that doesn’t just lead in aircraft seating design innovation but also in manufacturing and business processes. I look forward to shaping and guiding the business as it continues to grow as a major player in the aerospace market.”

Martin Clerk joined the Mirus team as Supply Chain Director and in his role, he will develop Mirus’ broader supply chain strategy and integrate the supply chain teams in both Malaysia and China.

Clerk joined Mirus following a two-year stint at Northern Ireland’s Thompson Aero Seating where he was Head of Supply Chain and Procurement, and before that, two years as Vice President of Global Procurement at Cobham, a FTSE-250 defence firm. Clerk commented: “I’m thrilled to join Mirus at what is a particularly exciting time. The management team is committed to building a scalable, agile business in a sector that is expected to grow significantly over the coming years. I look forward to helping build capability across the business and position Mirus’s supply chain to grow successfully.”
