Mirus has appointed Nick Targett as its new M-TEST facility manager. Targett, who joined the Norfolk-based M-TEST facility in May, will lead the team in managing the development of Mirus’s products via in-house testing as well as overseeing the lending of testing to external parties.

“I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to join Mirus at this exciting time, to manage M-TEST as it cements itself as one of the UK’s leading test facilities,” said Targett about his new role as Test Facility Manager.

“Responsible for the management and operation of the facility, I will be working to ensure that it is operating effectively and independently to support all Mirus’s requirements, as well as the requirements of all future potential customers.

“I will also be working with our team of class-leading engineers in the testing and development of seats, further helping Mirus to achieve its full potential.”

Targett brings a wealth of experience to the role, with his background in the automotive industry, including more than 40 years working at the Millbrook Proving Ground overseeing the ServoSled, Crash Test and Safety Systems, contributing to his knowledge and experience in vehicle safety testing.

Ben McGuire, CEO, Mirus Aircraft Seating, said: “Nick is a welcome asset to our new dynamic test facility as M-TEST establishes itself as its own entity. While Nick will be vital in the development of Mirus’s own products in the first instance, his role will also allow M-TEST to operate completely independently of Mirus.

“With Nick overseeing all work pertaining to the facility, we can ensure that when the time comes to lend our testing capacity, external parties can test their product safely in the knowledge that all testing is done autonomously and therefore completely confidential to M-TEST.”
