Aerospace Technologies Group (ATG) will be showcasing the company’s innovative aerBlade™ electronic window shade’s latest safety feature at NBAA-BACE from 17-19 October at Booth C10630.

The aerBlade™ electronic window shade system replaces traditional manual slider shades without any sidewall modifications and passengers on board flights can control them with the touch of a button. In addition, crew members can automatically lower and raise all window shades by using the flight attendant panel.

ATG’s electric window shades are available for small, mid-size and large cabin business jets as well as Boeing 777-300ER, A380, and A350 premium class seating areas.

ATG says it Electronic Emergency Override is a groundbreaking innovation for handling power-loss emergencies during flights, automatically raising the shade to a clear window position, providing a seamless and efficient solution. The solution is available as an optional feature for aerBlade products and also soon for the company’s business jet products.

According to ATG, its NextGen electronic controls provide IoT functionality and connectivity to onboard maintenance and cabin management systems, enabling the transfer of performance metrics, remote diagnostics and programming updates without the need to remove the shade from the aircraft.

aerBlade is also equipped with the company’s NextGen electronic controls, providing internet of things functionality and connectivity to onboard maintenance and cabin management systems.
