Recaro Aircraft Seating has announced a new seating solution to increase cabin efficiency on board Airbus aircraft. The solution features an over-wing exit seat, the X-Tend Seat, which Recaro says allows for an increased passenger numbers while maintaining EASA and FAA requirements.
The seat is designed for short- and mid-range economy cabin configurations for narrowbody Airbus aircraft and features an easy-to-use extended seat bottom.

The X-Tend Seat increases the passenger capacity of an A320 from 190 to 194 passengers, making the most of cabin space and helping airlines to meet sustainability goals as it can efficiently reduce the number of flights an aircraft takes without sacrificing comfort for passengers.
