Specialist UK-based sales agency Thomas King Associates (TKA), which represents OEM aircraft interior parts and materials, has announced a partnership with vendor start-up company, Devcolaxe (DCA).
The newly formed DCA is led by a team with vast experience in the aviation and disability industries and will focus on the supply of on-board aircraft use wheelchairs, also known as aisle chairs, This includes the Travel WheelChair which has been the natural choice for airlines and aviation customers for many years.
Claimed as the world’s lightest aisle chair, the Travel Chair comes in at 5.5 kg (12 lbs) and is available in two versions. The 40cm version is exclusive to use on Embraer E-jets due to their very wide aisles. For all other aircraft types including the ATR, CRJ and Q3400, the 35cm version is suitable.
The new partnership between TKA and DCA has ensured that the Travel Wheelchair will continue to be supplied to Airline and Aviation customers, following the closure of the previous vendor company
Michael Devine the Commercial Director of DCA commented. “We will continue to stock support the Travel Wheelchair (and associated spare parts) to offer short lead-times for routine orders to customers. We also have a repair shop service in the UK if needed by customers.”
