ABM has been awarded a three-year cabin cleaning contract with South American carrier LATAM Airlines. The new partnership will further solidify ABM’s presence at London Heathrow Airport, now cleaning eight million seats across 27 airlines every year.
Under the contract, ABM will clean 150,000 seats annually for LATAM Airlines, who recently announced seven new routes as well as a 26.5% increase in passengers in June 2023 compared with 2022 as part of its ongoing growth.
“We are delighted to be working directly with LATAM Airlines, building on an existing relationship, and a step closer to becoming one of the business’ trusted long-term providers,” said Jim Niblock, Managing Director for Aviation, ABM. “We look forward to delivering exceptional service to passengers travelling with LATAM Airlines. With cabin cleaning as one of our two core services, we have decades of sustainable service delivery experience and world class expertise to bring to the partnership.”
“This partnership with ABM reflects our commitment to providing passengers with the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene,” added a LATAM Airlines spokesperson, “ensuring a safe and comfortable journey on LATAM Airlines. We look forward to working closely with ABM and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness on all our aircraft at Heathrow, the UK’s busiest airport.”
