Aer Lingus unveils new summer menu and expanded in-flight entertainment

Aer Lingus has announced an expanded in-flight entertainment library as well as new inflight dining options inspired by Irish cuisine.

Both Economy and Business Class summer menus have seen an overhaul. The new Business Class menu features dishes such as skin-on thyme and parsley chicken supreme, herb-infused roasted pork, flaky pan-fried hake and citrus-marinated salmon.

Lighter and vegetarian options include a new rich root vegetable and pearl barley stew, served with a seasonal salad. Irish smoked salmon, saffron-poached prawns, and a roast parsnip and seasonal apple soup are also offered. The dishes focus on seasonal, sustainably sourced, local produce.

The carrier’s expanded in-flight entertainment library has increased by more than a third and features the latest blockbusters, classic favourites, captivating documentaries and more.

Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer said: “At Aer Lingus, we value feedback and constantly review our food and entertainment offerings to ensure we meet the needs of our customers.

“Based on this feedback, I am pleased to say that we’ve upgraded the quality and range of food onboard for both Economy and Business Class customers and have increased the amount of in-flight entertainment content by more than one third.

“Along with enjoying enhanced in-flight dining and entertainment, holidaymakers can also expect a warm and friendly welcome on board all Aer Lingus flights and a generous baggage allowance when flying long-haul.”
