Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) provides significant time and cost reductions for its attendees, according to new insight from AIX organisers.
The ‘Saving Time at AIX’ report examined the average time spent travelling to meet suppliers and test new products, versus the time required to complete the same activity during the annual AIX event in Hamburg. The report found that scheduled meetings with 10 suppliers across five different countries at the three-day event could instead take up to 20 days of travel and meetings without attending the event.
“Aircraft Interiors Expo brings together all of the interiors community – from suppliers, buyers and observers – in one place,” said Vern Alg, Independent Consultant in Aircraft Interiors Project Management. “For airlines already in conversation with suppliers, it presents an opportunity to get everyone involved in a project together to troubleshoot, gain feedback, and understand the challenges or roadblocks facing a project.
“To get this face time outside of the show creates a significant logistical challenge and cost that AIX provides the solution to,” added Alg.
The return of AIX from 6-8 June 2023 will bring together more than 1,000 products from leading global airline suppliers based in 30-plus countries, with the products ranging from cabin management systems, flooring solutions, galley equipment, interior paints and coverings, to in-flight entertainment, connectivity, lighting, seating and more.
“Connecting people to make new business contacts and source the right products is the cornerstone of Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX),” said Polly Magraw, Event Director, Aircraft Interiors Expo. “We know that suppliers and airlines return year-on-year as they recognise the show helps them save time and resources in their efforts to meet with suppliers and discover the latest cabin innovations to enhance the passenger experience.”
