High-speed connectivity and entertainment solutions company Anuvu has reached an agreement with Formula 1 to offer Formula 1 related content on board flights.
Anuvu says the company’s customers have access to content such as season reviews dating back to 1981, highly anticipated documentaries such as Vettel: More than a Champion and shows including Beyond All Limits, which features drivers Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.
According to Anuvu, the company trialled Formula 1 related content in 2022 with one of Asia’s largest airlines. Data from this trial demonstrated the content was the most-viewed entertainment in the airline’s portfolio during the trial period.
“With streaming services so readily available, travellers are constantly looking for new content and with Formula 1’s surging fan base, we feel this sport is a natural fit with our customers given that many people coordinate travel around the races,” said Estibaliz Asiain, Anuvu SVP, Media & Content.
Anuvu is continuing to diversify its entertainment library beyond traditional Hollywood-centric content, providing its customers an entertainment portfolio which includes traditional entertainment, short-form native digital, learning, wellness/environment, gaming, kids, and sports. Anuvu says the Formula 1 content will be available from September 2023.
