Etihad's A380 with the Residence flies from London to Abu Dhabi

Armani/Casa for Etihad Airways inflight range has been awarded a Gold Award in Product Design from the Good Design Awards.

Developed in collaboration with Buzz, the Armani/Casa for Etihad Airways inflight range includes a variety of dining serviceware, chinaware, glassware, cutlery and textiles for Etihad Airways’ Business Class passengers, created in partnership with Giorgio Armani.

“The Armani/Casa for Etihad Airways Inflight Range is reminiscent of the French Pillivyt range of crockery,” said the Awards Jury. “The simple 1960s design of the serving plates, cups and glasses will remain timeless over many years. A cohesively functional yet refined style, it’s a really fantastic result with the limitations at hand.”

“To be recognised with an Australian Good Design Award tells the world this project not only represents design excellence, but it also surpasses the criteria for design innovation and design impact,” said Dr. Brandon Gien, CEO, Good Design Australia and Chair, Australian Good Design Awards. “The Good Design Award is an independent endorsement of professional design quality.”
