S7 Technics has received EASA Part-21 G approval for aircraft cabin carpet production.
Each new product will be released with certificate EASA Form 1, which gives an ability to produce stock of such carpets and as a result make process of aircraft cabin carpets replacement faster
The aircraft cabin carpets production facility which is located at S7 Technics base in Novosibirsk, received EASA Part-21 G approval. Previously the aircraft carpet production was under EASA Part-145 approval. For now, each new product will be released with certificate EASA Form 1, which gives an ability to produce stock of such carpets and as a result make process of aircraft cabin carpets replacement faster.
Airlines have a stable demand for a worn-out carpet replacement on aircraft. As part of the EASA Part-145 approval, most of the cabin carpet products for Russian airlines’ aircraft are fabricated and changed in the course of base maintenance.
“Fabrication of aircraft cabin carpets under the EASA Part-145 approval has not only certain advantages, but also a number of limitations. Therefore, recently, airlines representatives have increasingly expressed their wishes to obtain new carpets with the certificate EASA Form 1, in order to organise a more rapid replacement,” commented Mikhail Golovanov, EASA.21G.0029 – Quality Assurance Manager, S7 Technics.
The certified production shop has 320 square metre area with six specialists involved in the production of carpets under EASA Part-21 G approval. Only certified materials from leading foreign manufacturers including Lantal, Anker, Botany Weaving are used in the production of aircraft cabin carpets. The production shop has manufacturing capacity at least 1,500 carpets per year.
