Spafax has announced its new digital entertainment suite, Spafax One, aimed at creating and delivering a wide range of IFEC experiences from live-streamed events and over the top (OTT) delivery to catch-up TV and late loading. Spafax One will be showcased at Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg.
Spafax One is built around three main pillars of the IFE life cycle – experience, curation and delivery – allowing airlines to transform and elevate the entire IFEC ecosystem.
“Spafax One makes it easy for airlines to get a comprehensive view of our capabilities arranged in key stages from content curation and delivery to the end-user experience, and AIX is the ideal environment to showcase this,” said Paul Colley, Chief Technology Officer, Spafax.
The recent rollout on select airlines saw Spafax One deliver a successful live stream of King Charles III’s coronation to thousands of British Airways passengers across the airline’s entire connected fleet.
This collaboration between British Airways, IAG Connect, the BBC and Red Bee Media saw Spafax broadcast the King’s procession, balcony greeting and coronation ceremony and Westminster Abbey.
Colley continued: “We recognised a gap in the market for a solution that provides faster market delivery and a more comprehensive offering than a supplier who can deliver just one or two services. We designed Spafax One around those needs to ultimately help clients increase efficiency and boost their return on their IFE investment.”
