Unum Aircraft Seating has opened its London Gatwick facility based in the Manor Royal aerospace hub.
The opening ceremony took place on Wednesday 29 November. Unum’s CEO and founder Chris Brady commented: “The launch of our Gatwick factory caps what has been a hugely successful year for Unum. We’ve gained our regulatory approvals from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and launched new products featuring our game changing patented Scimitar seat mechanism.
“We’ve also made several senior appointments, including hiring Tania Trucchia as Chief Operating Officer and in the past few months grown the engineering leadership team to support our design and testing activities. Opening our new factory right at the heart of the industry is the perfect way to conclude the year, and firmly establishes Unum as the credible alternative in business class seating!”
