Emirates’ Premium Economy to extend to São Paolo and Tokyo Narita

Emirates will be introducing its Premium Economy on the carrier’s São Paolo and Tokyo Narita routes later this year.

This will make Sao Paolo the airline’s fifth point in its North and South American network where flights will operate with the new Premium Economy, and the carrier says its Tokyo Narita route will become the second gateway in Emirates’ Far East network which offers its latest cabin product.

Emirates’ retrofit programme is now picking up pace and this means more routes will operate its newly retrofitted flagship A380 aircraft. The carrier’s Dubai-São Paolo route will feature Emirates’ Premium Economy seats on EK261/262 from 19 November, initially be available three times weekly. Daily Premium Economy flights EK318/319 to and from Tokyo Narita will launch from 20 December.

The aircraft will have a four-class configuration, featuring 56 seats in Premium Economy located at the front of the main deck and laid out in a 2-4-2 configuration, as well as 338 seats in Economy Class, 76 in Business Class and 14 First Class suites.

Refreshed interiors on board the Emirates’ retrofitted aircraft feature signature ghaf tree motif as well as other aesthetic enhancements, beautiful designs and new colour palettes. Emirates says that, since it introduced its Premium Economy offering one year ago, more than 160,000 customers have traded up from Economy Class.
